German Truck Simulator System Requirements

Minimum System RequirementsWindows XP/Vista/7/8, Dual core CPU 2.4 GHz2 GB RAM, graphics card with 256 MB memory(GeForce 7600 GT-class equivalent or better)Recommended System RequirementsWindows 7/8, Dual core CPU 3.0 GHz4 GB RAM, graphics card with 1024 MB memory(GeForce GTS 450-class equivalent or better)I just think it's odd that at first glance it appears that my system meets a nice balance between the minimum and the recommended requirements, yet the best I can get is low everything, and I can't enable shadows or sunbeams or amp up the weather at all. If I put any option to medium, it's fine when going strait. But turning turns the display into a slideshow. How much difference does having Windows XP and an AMD Radeon HD 6450 PCI-e Video Card with 1Gb RAM make? First of all the video card you mention there is a very low tier card even when it was brand new it was not intended for gaming, its a card you put in a system to watch movies, light photo manipulation and internet browsing.
The amount of memory is mostly just a way for the manufacturers to sell more cards, people that dont know anything think that cheap 90 dollar card or 60 that has the amazing amount (1 gb) memory will be perfect for their new cheap gaming rig. There has even been low end card with 2 gb memory, memory that that card can never fully utilize. Hell, even if you wrote an application to forcefeed textures in to its memory just to fill it up I bet it wouldnt work, its probably faked lol:p (just kidding)I traded a laptop for a midrange gaming system, low/mid range, it had 2 4550's running in crossfire, think those cards combined maybe cost 150 euro's lol if that. When they where new.The CPU was a AMD x2 5600, 2,9 Ghz, it still runs, I just sold it to a friend for 120 euro's, but it now has 4 gb ram and a 4770 1 gb card, think its 1 gb anyway, and that system ran skyrim just fine 2 years ago.Anything under 170 dollars/130 euro's aint meant for any gaming, you could find decent cards at that price or cheaper if lucky especially today, cards like 7770/90 or GTX750ti are really powerful, would run ETS2 on high settings with 100 - 200 scaling probably.
Here are the Euro Truck Simulator 2 System Requirements (Minimum) CPU: Info. CPU SPEED: Dual core CPU 2.4 GHz. OS: Windows 7. VIDEO CARD: GeForce GTS 450-class (Intel HD 4000) PIXEL SHADER: 5.0.
I got a 7850 2 gb card, its abit faster and I run at 200 - 300 scaling and all settings on max. I dont get super high fps but 40 - 50 fps I think without mods, when I add mods it tend to go down abit but its not an FPS I dont need stead 75 fps to be happy. 30 - 40 steady is just fine. Note also, if a card is in a laptop and it says say, a 770M instead of just GTX770, expect that chip to be 30 - 40% slower then a real 770, because its just not possible due to heat and power consumtion to have a card that fast and hungry in a laptop. It would probably melt away and then put your house on fire.
Seen alot less powerful laptops go so hot you cant touch 30% of it.F.k me, I should write a damn book, or my own bible.? Think I'd get a following?!?. Holy mother!I'm off to bed. Animus institute. Although as murdoch82 says, the HD6450 is a fairly basic card that was never meant as a gaming solution, it isn't just about that.
The CPU that's driving it will have a BIG effect in ETS2.Example, if I put the twin GTX 660s from this rig, into the 6 year old 2.8GHz Core2Duo with a HD6570 downstairs, I only get about 5-10 fps more, simply because the CPU doesn't have the grunt to cope with the demands the graphics cards are asking for.If you're 'Meeting a nice balance between the minimum and the recommended', then you're still a fair way BELOW the recommended. To be fair, even the recommended spec isn't very high for a reasonably modern PC. But, it's 'recommended' for a reason. From my experience of PC games (about 15 years) minimum generally means unplayable. Always try to meet recommended, infact the besy way is to considering the true minimum.
I've played many games in the past where I've more than met minimum, and the game as simply been unplayable. ETS2 is actually not bad for lower systems. It doesn't seem to take full advantage of high end machines the way it should. I know of people with much higher end systems than what I'm using right now, who don't manage to much higher fps, or able to up any settings higher than me.On my old PC with the following specs2.5ghz Intel core 2 quad Q83004GB DDR2 RAM1GB Geforce GT430, the game was just about playable with most things set to medium or low on 75% scaling.
I would get about 20fps, which is JUST playable. Super metroid map. On going east, and some of the more complex map mods, such as poland rebuilding, the game became unplayable.
