Don't over complicate it and keep most things automated the first couple of plays (which you will most likely get your ♥♥♥ handed to you on a silver platter and told to f off back to stellaris by some insectoid race).Come back fresh after a couple learning games and hunker down for some series 4x.Wanna just let the AI run your empire while you build a fleet and go to town on your neighbors? Do it.Wanna just be a trade and subterfuge empire with only a defensive fleet to protect your main trade routes?
No sweat.Wanna turn off all generic winning conditions and only play with race specific conditions? Pfft.no probHow about automating everything and only designing ships for the empire.pretend your the Secretary of Ship Engineering. YepIt goes on and on. I bought the game long before it was on steam and all the add on packs separately from Matrix games back in the day. Then bought Universe on steam during a sale. I would guess I have at least 250 hours total over the years. When you think you get bored with it, you put it away and get out the latest 4x game that everyone is raving/lusting after.
